Van advice

Hey guys. I've been browsing through thias site and there's tons of information and knowledge here!

After researching my first van, I've narrowed down to the Ford E series. I still would like some advice from the more experienced in finalizing my purchase.

I plan on doing allot camping with my van (myself, wife and dog), storage for mountain bike/kayak trips, 500-1,200 mile road trips (sleeping in van too), attaching a hitch to pull a small boat or jetski.

I thought maybe the E series Cargo van would suit my needs, or even a used conversion van. I see the cargo vans going for roughly $2k (my budget). Which motor do you guys suggest for my needs? What should I look for in buying a Ford Van? Any comments? I'd appreciate it guys.:D

i bought a 01 e150 with the big v8. m wife and i use ours for camping and road trips mostly but I do drive it daily. There is a lot of room in there even after adding a queen size bed with storage underneath. ours was a cargo van that I converted to dry camper. we drove it to alaska last year and we haul our gear around for camping and rafting/kayaking trips. We don't pull a trailer with ours but it would with out a problem. cargo vans are easy to convert and set up how you want them. good luck
