Owners of the 2011 Edge,
Other than My Ford touch problems, the latest issue is the "Door Ajar sensor" is sticking inside the door, Im outside of the bumper to bumper now, Ford will not help me, why would they?, so Im relegated to try to fix it myself. My concern, taking the inside door panel off is a bitch. everything will start to pop off accept the upper right portion of the panel (near the mirror) on the driver door. Replacing the sensor is easy. Any one have any idea what is hanging that part on the door for which I cannot take off before I break it?

 

there is a 10mm bolt behind a rectangular plastic piece on the inside door handle. does not pop off easy. Door ajar sensor is on the door lock mechanism, easy to replace.

 

Hi I had door ajar also had a shift to park message had a mechanic replaced the switch fixed both problems
