2016 Ford Edge Malfunction Indicator Lamp

EDIT: I went out and bought an OBDII reader and it said No Codes, so I am guessing it was just a fluke in the system.

Hello, I just bought a 2016 Ford Edge SEL a week ago and just today as I was waiting for my wife to get off work to pick her up, I turned my car off then just pressed the button for accessory power.

After I did that I got a notification on my Ford Connect App that there was an issue that needs service, which said:

MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP - REGULATORY

What is happening? -- The Engine system has detected a fault.
What should I do? -- Refer to On Board Diagnostics (OBD-II) in the Owner's Manual for information on temporary malfunctions that may not require vehicle service. Light Stays On: The vehicle may still be drivable and not require towing.
Is this just a glitch that happened? Should I get myself an OBD-II reader and check it?

Thanks!
