2019 Edge refueling problem

When I try to fill the gas tank on my 2019 edge , the pump will not click off and the gas overflows. There is a service bulletin to reprogram the PCM . The first time it was done the fix lasted 5 months. The second time it lasted 2 weeks. Anyone else have this problem and have it solved? Thanks

An update. The ford dealer discovered that one of the 2 valves in the gas line that recover the gas fumes was stuck open. I haven't filled up again since but hopefully this soles the problem.

Well, the fix for this problem didn't work. So, more tests etc. but very frustrated.

This may seem like a not quite dumb question, but do you fuel at the same pump all the time?

I have tried different pumps and stations. Same issue. The strange thing is that after resetting the computer it went away for 5 months only to return after two servicing attempts,

Servicing attempts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,please explain, thank you.

They replaced one of the valves in the fuel line ( slightly out of spec ) and reset the computer ( I think it is called the PCM ) a second time. Neither were effective.

Can you tell us if you were in the habit of filling the tank with gasoline until no more would go in?
And the problem appeared later on?

I only filled the tank until the first click off. Never more. My 2019 was a leftover and bought in March 2020. I didn't often fill the tank and the problem started about 3 months after getting it. To me, at this time, the only rational explanation is a faulty control module as it sends out the electrical signals that control the filling of the tank.
The first fix --resetting the computer ( as indicated in a service bulletin as others had had this problem ) worked for 5 months . If it isn't a faulty computer module how could this original fix actually work for 5 months?

Could they have done more than they say?
