Advices/to watch out for 07-10 Ford Edge

Good day! I'm new to this Edge Forum as we are about to purchase a 2008 Limited AWD with 230k here in Canada. We're getting ready to close the deal!

Any advices/experiences with them will be highly appreciated. TIA! Will post pictures after I get it all detailed later today!

Welcome to the site..

Think there was an airbag recall, and some stalling issues. You should be able to get an Oasis Reoort done per your VIN from your Ford service, a no cost report of warranty repairs done, and recall/campaign etc.

Any service/repair history available from the seller?

I insisted on doing a pre-purchase inspection to give me idea what needs to be done. Some small accessories needed to be replaced, but the big ones were the brake pads and rotors, and serpentine belt. Attachment 2029

Brought it home yesterday at 6p, interior detailing, exterior and engine bay pressure wash were carried out. Next thing I know, I was still out at 0140 am! ****ty part was, I suddenly woke up at 7a and couldn't go back to sleep!! So I went out to do clay bar and paint sealing.

Doesn't mean it can only look great back in 2007! This is His and Hers now...Attachment 2028

Tomorrow, I'll do its first oil change, and if I have free time, I'll drive down to check with Service dept for any recalls or TSBs...

Look'n good, and sounds like it's going to get the best of care..

Like the driveway side by side!

Your Edge looks great! I just bought a 2008 Limited AWD 3.5L. Has 190k miles on it. Was wondering if your instrument cluster is hard to read/see. I thought it was just my old man eyes, but my 23 year old son got in for a drive this morning and his first comment is the cluster is hard to see. He wanted to know how I know what speed I'm at and I did not have a good answer for him. I'm wondering if I can upgrade the LED lamps in the cluster to give a little more back lighting and improve visibility. Looks like your into adding highlights to your ride, some red LED lamps in the cluster might be a nice touch. At first attempt to find some info I found zero videos specific to the Edge Instrument Cluster. I did find some pictures of the cluster on eBay and it looks like the unit is sealed and so I have no clue as to whether it would be feasible to replace the light green lighting with something that provides a bit more illumination and contrast. I'm going to investigate further and will try to get back to your posting if I find something useful. Regards, Art

Hi there Aroberb! Thanks! I just bought a n e set of 275/45/r20, and will be looking to get a set of red wheels, I think it definitely would pop out!

So on the left side of your steering wheel, there is a vertical wheel that can you adjust the dimness/brightness of the instrument cluster. Do it when its night time and you're side markers are on.

Updating my thread, gone for the summer look!

Went with 20x9 +30 offset for a bit tire poke, with meaty 275/50/r20s. Both brand new! Gave it as a wedding present..!

Plans to have the OSS/TSS sensors change and PTU Transmission fluid changes this summer.
