Options for getting under hood
 

This morning we tried getting into our used Edge (2015) that we purchased in July of this year. Well, my wife and I both tried our key fobs and got no response. We googled for some troubleshooting and the first thing that comes up is to use the key inside the fob. Well, low and behold NEITHER of us have a key inside our fob (remember we bought the car used). Neither of us knew there was suppose to be a key inside :(. So we called our roadside assistance to help us get inisde and they used their stick to try and hit the open button on the door. Well, apparently the battery is dead so the unlock on the door won't work and he says there's nothing more he can do.

My question is, is there a way to get the hood open from the outside of the car so that I can jump start the car?

One thing you can do,
Call a locksmith and he should be able to cut a key on the spot and at least allow you to get inside the vehicle.
You may have to pay for a road call, but it would seem to be the quickest and cheapest route.

It may not be possible to catch a dealership open today, but if you provided the service dept with your Vehicle Identification Number (From your records) they should be able to come up with a key code and make one for you.
