Traction control

I have 07 Ford Edge AWD. The last couple of days for some reason my traction control keeps going off every time I make a turn and the light blinks. The pavement is bone dry. For now I just turn it off so I don't have to deal with the jerking. But it automatically comes back on when I turn my engine off and then start it up again.
I'm thinking it's a sensor. Question is, does the ABS sensor control the traction control as well? So if I swap out the abs sensor will I continue to have problems?
In the past two years I've put in a ton of money for repairs on my Edge. I'm at the point to where if it's something I can fix myself I will give it a try. If it requires a mechanics expertise I'm cutting bait!
