When I picked up my new 2016 Edge SEL a week ago I was given two sets of of keys(fobs). on one set it has a small black gadget about inch or so long that looks almost like a round battery in one end. What is this and what's it for?

By doing some online searching of the small print that is on the gadget I found out it is a product of "Keyper Systems" A global company. It is for dealers to keep track of their keys. Salesman should have removed it before he gave me the keys. I am going by the dealership this afternoon. They may be surprised I have it.
