Default 09 Escape 4WD system

The salesman told me that when you turn the traction control off, you're in real time 4WD. I have a hard time swallowing that considering the system it has. Anybody know? So just wondering if the salesperson is right or right out of her.

Cheers!!

I found out that the salesperson was wrong. It does not go into alltime 4WD because of the system.

I was told the same, I just leave it since it goes into 4 wheel automatically when needed correct?

That's correct. The only thing that happens when you push the button to disengage the 4WD, it eliminates the computer's paramters for the safety aspect. Meaning RPM control, stability control etc..
