09 Mariner front brakes locked
So my front brakes aren’t releasing. My front brakes have been dragging and are almost staying locked. I replaced both front calipers, and it seemed to fix it. But a couple days later, I could tell they were still holding, as I would drive off. Today I removed the calipers, and could not press the piston back in, on either one. The only way the pistons would release, is if I opened the bleeder screw. So what’s keeping my front Calipers pressurized? 190,000 miles on it. Thanks for your help. No ABS light, or any other indication of a problem.

If any air managed to get into the ABS control module , it is next to impossible to get that air out without a capable scan tool to open the solenoid valves. What might be happening is the air gets trapped and expands and applies the brakes. There could also be a problem with the dump valves in the ABS module. Are you sure the brake pedal is coming all the way up?

You may need to have the brake system bled and checked by a capable shop.
