On to the next project... For a Christmas gift for my son, I would like to install an inexpensive remote start. It's a 2004 (2003 build date) Escape Limited AWD with the 3.0. I did find a cheap module on Ebay for 70 bucks that claimed it would work, but after contacting the seller he said the bypass would not work with RFID chip keys (which is what they ALL have lol). Has anyone had success with a budget remote start unit with the bypass that will work for a 1st gen Escape? I am more than capable of doing the installation and programming, just not finding what I'm looking for. Was hoping to find a module for 100 or less.
