What was your solution to this problem.
My situation is that the remote would not allow me to unlock the door. The anti lock light would flash red every few seconds which I believe is normal. Both mine and my wifes remote would not do anything to lock/unlock/alarm/auto start the car. All buttons on both remotes were not functioning. Not a battery problem on the remote!!! I called a tow truck he manually unlocked the door with a device to reach the electric door unlock button on the drivers side. When the door opened immediately the horn started beeping, the green signal lights both of them flashed. Tried inserting the key in the ignition to turn to the 3 position and start the car. Wouldn't start. Tried locking unlocking door. Tried remote to lock and unlock door. No response. Opened the hood to disconnect the battery. Have left the car now for several hours. Will try connecting the battery again and will keep my fingers crossed. The tow truck operator gave me the name of a car vehicle radio shop and advised I should take the car there to have the anti theft system serviced. It's kind of a shame to see an unanswered post on a ford forum. I will do my bit to mankind to provide a solution to my problem for the next guy.

I have no idea. Try pulling the positive battery cable off the battery post and wait a few minutes. Reattach, insert the key and cycle that thing on-off until the door locks engage and disengage a few times. I don't know if this will pop the air bag. That's why you wait a few minutes, to de-energize the capacitor that fires the RedStone Rocket solid fuel pellets under the bag. Be careful!
