2007 Ford Escape Rattle on Acceleration - Help!

Hi All! I bought a 2007 Ford Escape XLT 6 cyl. about 4 months ago with 56k miles. Recently I noticed what sounds like a heat shield rattle (I had a Subaru forester Prior to this and it was notorious for them, so I am familiar with what it sounds like). I checked along the exhaust and everything seems tight. I

It doesn't make the rattle when cold, but once warmed up, it rattles really bad on acceleration from a stop or turning onto a hill and accelerating. It doesn't make the sound when in park and I rev the engine, only when the car is in motion.

Can Anyone help shed some light? I'd like to try and fix it myself without spending an arm and a leg just to have someone take a look at it.

Thanks in advance

You need two people to do this, with the hood open and someone watching the engine have the other person apply the foot brake and with the vehicle in drive and giving the engine a little gas , watch if the engine moves a lot. If so there could be a motor mount problem.

Thanks. I will get someone to help me take a look at it this weekend.

O/D Button

I also noticed this morning on my way to work, I turned my O/D drive button off. It was also cooler this morning, but when I pulled in to my parking lot, I did not hear the rattle. Coincidence? Only a 10 mile back country drive with no traffic (staying at around 50 mph). I'm just trying to eliminate possibilities.
