2008 Escape Dome Light Issues
Hi,
I bought a 2008 Ford Escape, and I am looking for input please. I searched this site, and did not see the same issue. I have to keep the dome light in the off position, otherwise it will always be on at all times - and even flashes sometimes. I tried replacing all the bulbs to see if that fixes it - and I wanted bright white LEDs anyway. Any ideas where to go from there? If it was a fuse, it would either work, or not work, right? Thanks for your input. |
Sometimes a door lock will provide a false signal to a control module which might perceive it as a door handle beginning to open a door..

*update*
I messed around with the dimmer again, and used a silicone spray on the latches and hinges - still nothing. I am going to check out the fuses (which I do not think should be the issue), then check the connections on the dome light itself. |
**UPDATE**
The dome light did not work because the circuit needed to be reprogrammed. It started because me tpms light was on, and replacing them did not fix it. I went to another place and he hooked it up and said it needs programming, and that the dome light is affected by it. $150 later, the tpms light is off, and dome light working. :) |
Thank you for the update.
