2008 Escape Transmission Issue
 

My Escape started idling high and it seems it won't shift from 2nd gear to 3rd gear. When it reaches approx. 40km/hr the RPM gauge revs up to around 3000 RPM. It will only rev lower if I let off the gas.
We topped up the transmission fluid and the problem still exists.
Any suggestions as to what might be the problem??

With something like this a check for any codes in the computers could possibly provide some direction. Places like Autozone and others like that will check your vehicle for any codes usually free of charge. At this point it could be electrical or mechanical and a code might help to narrow it down some.
