2008 ford escape
 

My 2008 Ford escape dome and map lights do not work when any of the four doors are opened. They work fine by the switches on them. help

This may sound like a dumb question, did you check the position that the rear seat dome light is in? My son likes to move it back and forth and usually leaves it in the off position which means none of the lights will come on when the doors are open. It has to be in the middle position for the lights to come on when the door is opened.
