2009 Escape ABS Module - Before/After VIN Break?
 

Hello!
I have a 2009 Escape that requires an ABS module swap.
8th char of the VIN is a G.
Module part # is 9L84-2C219-EA

The donor vehicle was also a 2009 Escape with the same engine.
8th char of the VIN is also a G.
Module part # is 9L84-2C219-CG

I believe my Escape is post 11/30/08, while the donor is pre 11/30/08.

Will that swap work, or should I not bother letting the shop even try?

Usually a later part # contains any modifications made. You might check with a Ford Parts Dept, maybe they can tell you what improvements were made.
