Default 2009 escape keyless entry code

Hey all, i have a 2009 escape i bought in march. dealer never gave me the code. Anyone know where to find it. I did try the spot where it supposedly is in the 06 escape but no luck. besides that its pretty tight down there. Thanks.

Did you buy the vehicle new? If so, then the number should be in the owners manual pouch on a plastic credit card sized card. If used, then the Dealer should scan the vehicle free of charge to pull the code from the CPU.

They should not if they are a Customer friendly dealership. Just tell them that you didn't get the "Little credit card thingy" that has the keyless entry code on it so you are unable to use your keyless entry. They should be nice enought to pull the code and also get you another code card.

Called the dealer, they want 90 bucks to get the code. No way am i spending that just to get something i should have already been provided. Guess ill wait until someone finds a way to extract it from the vehicle.

Default keypad code (detroit area)

I found out that a local dealer (southgate ford) will read your computer for your code for 42 dollars. While this isnt free, this is the least expensive place I found to get it done. So if possible go there. Its in Southgate MI. Hope this helps someone.
