2010 Escape stuck a/c vent

Air only comes through the a/c vents. I dropped a pen into the top vent just above the radio and now I cannot get air to the defrost or heat vents. any remedy? Thanks.

I'm gonna get a lot of flack on this, but In a situation like this you will need to remove the radio section to see the tubing from the heater to the vents, etc., and to disassemble all that stuff to retrieve a jammed pen. Sometimes you can cut a door in the ductwork where you might see the jammed object and possibly retrieve it using a flashlight and mirror. When done, that door can be replaced with some JB weld and the ductwork can still do what it is supposed to do with out any leakage. Otherwise all you can hope for is for the pen to fall away from the door that it may be jammed against and it will just sit in there for the rest of the vehicle's life. Last, but not least ,you can disassemble everything and eventually get the pen out.

Thanks for the quick reply. what is the procedure to remove the radio. i see only two 7mm screws on the upper part of the trim. Is there any other screws or clips I need to remove to get to the radio?

Check "u tube", there are may instructional videos to actually show you every step to do that.
