2012 Ford Escape Limited SHAKING UNDER LOAD HELP!

Vehicle is 2012 Ford Escape limited with 146,000 miles. Very good shape. Slight vibration noticed while driving at all speeds, more severe on highway. Next day sever shaking at all speeds and vehicle was almost un drivable. Transmission was flushed and no metal shavings found. Driveshaft carrier bearing and U joints found to be bad, driveshaft was completely rebuilt. Still shaking. Taken to transmission/drivetrain shop, they diagnosed the front right CV axle was bent, and wanted to see if shaking went away with driveshaft out of vehicle. They replaced the CV axle and removed the driveshaft, shaking is still there in the same nature. Also was told the splines where the driveshaft connects to the transfer case was damaged, meaning there were missing splines (8/10). Is this a transfer case issue? Have only spent about 600$ so far but would like to figure this out without replacing before diagnosing. Driveshaft did need rebuilt and the CV axle was slightly bent so yes they needed done, but are those symptoms of a larger fault? Or contributing factors that created a severe fault, and if so where? Could the transmission be at fault? Have never had prior issues with it, but have noticed slight delay with shifting. No hard shifting or anything but symptoms of an older trans, such as revs staying higher slightly longer before car decides to shift, as far as the shifting has always been smooth and never hard or sluggish. Thanks for any info/help.

It helps a lot if we get some idea of the vehicle's history.
Did you just purchase it a short while ago?
It's not easy to bend CV axles, do you have any idea what might have caused this?
The more info you can provide, the more we might have some idea of just how much damage has been done and where to look further.
Was this vehicle in some kind of accident or abused?
