Just bought a 97 F-150 Extended cab and it has the beeps also. :confused:

y 97 F-150 has the beeps also

My 02 Escape (155,000 mi) has just started beeping after the dash bulbs were replaced. (didn't help the display)
5 beeps, times 4 at first. Now its 5 times.

Air bag light illuminate or flash?

If the lamp doesn't function, and the system detects a fault somewhere in the SRS, the restraints control module will signal the cluster to chime 5 times.. S/B 5 sets of five tones.. If your getting the audible tones and no lamp function the DTC's (trouble codes) need to be retrieved from the control module through the vehicle diagnostic connector with a scan tool. For SRS issues with a functioning indicator lamp, you can count the lamp flashes or LFC's for a trouble code and direction to go..

The air bag light used to flash until my latest service where they replaced the dash bulbs. Now the light is off and it beeps. Thanks alot. I'll post when its fixed.

I just bought a 2004 Escape and it, too, has the beeping sound problem -- 5 beeps, 5 times, then about half an hour later these repeat. Has anyone found out the problem and the needed solution yet?

When I read your entire comments then I really impress with your site.

My 2002 beeps six time, no clue?
