A/C help needed

2014 Escape.....Periodically my ventilation system stops working....the fan is blowing but nothing is coming out of the vents. It only seems to happen when it is very hot and the A/C is on. It will be blowing just fine then slowly stop, like all the vent doors are shutting. The fan is blowing full blast but nothing is coming out. the only solution is to turn the system off and wait a while, which is no fun on hot days. I took it to the dealer and of course it didn't do it so they gave it back undiagnosed. I cant be the only ford in the world with this issue, can I?
It happens at all fan speeds, and all settings (feet, face, defrost) with the A/C on
After 2 years of the Dealer saying I am imagining this they now tell me there is TSB, someone told e it is a $12 part I can fix myself saving a trip to the dealer. Does anyone know what this is?

Seriously...Nobody knows a thing about this?

This condition you still blowing air but not cold like the AC compressor has stopped and now blowing hot air vs cold air or just the flow been completely blocked off?
Had to ask as my 2010 Escape V6 AC works and blows cold but later during the day with stop and go errands it starts blowing 85 degree hot air like I lost the AC compressor.
On run at normal engine temp with compressor running with gauge connected to the low side it reads 45 psi within the "Blue Cold" of the gauge between 35 and 45 psi.
It is not a low 134a issue i've been told with possibly a thermostat or other controller electrical or mechanical problem????
It's been 95 to 100 degrees lately, starting off driving from a cold midday in the heat the AC will blow almost cold enough to hurt your hands.
Forget costly dealerships or AC shops as this is their "stick it to 'em hot season". Thanks, Carl.....~~=o&o>......

Did you fix your issue? My 2014 just did the same thing this week.

Sorry stroked 350 Vega owner. Had to toss out that reply. Pressuring a friend for a 383 from 350 in an old Sanger ski boat, gave that thing some real torque to turn a higher pitched prop. Water eats torque.
No zip nothing in replies, must have the only Escape with this type of problem?
Overheard a plastic part deep under the dash is the problem but one must totally gut the dash apart to reach said failing part. Not practical hence a pissed off wifey it's her retirement vehicle. Cooler days below 90*F the ac works normally. Failures in town stop and go as well at 70 mph highway speeds with good frontal ram air for the condenser which is spotless no leaves or crap blocking it or the radiator.
Did you find or type in the other forum reply above? Seems another member "found an answer", wish I had it also.. The all black sweatbox 95 Land Rover Discovery's AC still working. Parked by 30 seconds it's an oven being black with a lot of glass.......~~=o&o>........
