fuse location for Power Point

The Power Point is the second cigarette lighter located on the dashboard below the climate control. I plugged in an DC/AC inverter with the result that there is no power. I assume the fuse blew. It is not the same fuse as the cigarette lighter since the cigarette lighter still supplies power. Anyone have knowledge of the fuse location in the fuse panel. I knwo where the panel is. I do not know which fuse in the panel.

RE: fuse location for Power Point

The Owner's Manual will tell you which fuse it is. If do not have one, I suggest you get one.

(look under diagram for your applicable yr and model, then clickon diagram to enlarge)

the 96 and newer are on that ford site.

For a 2005 Escape,
Position 24 Cigar Lighter 20A **
Power Point is fused in the Power distribution in the engine bay
Position 12, Power Pointe 20A *

Jeffery

if you noted what year car you have...maybe someone could look in their owner manual for fuse location

...with that said if you know where fuses are...typically a "blown" fuse has visual burn signs on top of fuse

also look at your ac/dc inverter to see what load it draws...it may exceed the circuit for the +12v power point

The original post is near 12 years old,, and the thread now contains other models..

Certainly the help is appreciated, and try to keep the thread specific to model, otherwise the help request or offerings may be missed by others...
