HELP 2012 Ford Escape - broken hood release ... can't get into hood
 

When I pull on the interior hood release, nothing happens. How do I get into the hood area?

Can't say because not there, but,
Did you try to look up from under the front of the vehicle up through the area between the front bumper and radiator area.
You might see the latch and with a long rod/screwdriver (24 in) move the arm that releases the latch.

Did you consult with your local Ford dealership ,maybe they have a better/simpler way?
