I have a 2005 escape and i am trying to replace my front half cv axles. I have disassembled the front end. I cannot get the half axle out of the intermediate shaft. I ended up on my butt when the inner cv joint came apart. Now i have the inner end of the old axle stuck on the intermediate shaft. I have used a FWD axle puller on a slide hammer to try and remove the stuck part and I still cant get it to come off. WHAT can i do to get this off without damaging the vehicle?
