Default Message Center is possessed.

Hi, Ihave a 2005 Escape that I have had for less than 3 weeks. Its still under warranty.

The message center does random self checks (sometimes repeatedly) which is very annoying. My dealer and service reps are great but they said they never heard of this problem and replaced the instrument cluster and guess what? Still does it.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I feel like I'm on candid camera when I'm driving along and it starts cycling through. [:@]

Thanks for any suggestions.

Default RE: Message Center is possessed.

Might be a message center switch problem.. Since all the message center functions are controlled by the switches, might be a starting point.. The 'system check'display is a sub-routine of the setup menu.
