P0466 - 2009 3.0 Duratec V6 FWD

P0466 OBD-II Trouble Code: Purge Flow Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

Haven't found any results pertaining to the Escape with this code anywhere online - 2009 Escape 3.0 V6 FWD w/120k miles.

Car runs rough at idle, intermittent long crank on start, also intermittent hesitatation with A/C on - No hesitation and runs better with no A/C but still rough either way.

Previously showed P1460, P2196, P2198 along with P0466.

P0466 is currently the only code, the P1460 WOT A/C cutoff code and P21** rich codes have recently cleared themselves.

Vacuum lines appear to be in fair shape, no apparent cracks/leaks under visual inspection.

Going to order a new purge valve after reading about that being a quick/cheap fix for similar issues.

Just looking for any other ideas on the P0466 code on this drivetrain. Other big concern is charcoal canister but I'm going to do the purge valve first, also thinking a fuel filter wouldn't hurt either - Any input is appreciated.

Until we find that you corrected the present problem, the only input I would offer is;
When filling the tank with gasoline , once the pump nozzle shuts off don't continue adding fuel to top it off higher !!! That is how the charcoal canister gets destroyed.
If the canister is part of the problem solution , that is why it became a possible problem. The charcoal can handle vapors, but not liquid and over filling sends liquid into the canister.

The vehicle actually belongs to my girlfriend, I only drive it 1-2 times/month. She said she knows not to overfill and always stops when it clicks the first time.

I have installed new purge valve and cleared the code - Will update in a week or so with results.
