On-going issues with 2007 Ford Escape
We just had the transmission on our Ford Escape replaced. When we picked it up, we noticed at highway speeds the whole vehicle vibrated. We took the Escape back to the shop that put the new transmission in, and apparently the Drive Shaft is bent. Is there a possibility that this occured during the replacement of the transmission?

There is the possibility...but I would think bad U-joints for that type of vibration...you are speaking about the driveline going from output shaft to the rear end...right?
Have you been four wheelin in it recently?

It ended up that the dealership had not properly reinstalled the drive shaft after installing the new transmission. They were claiming that they had nothing to do with it, second opinion said otherwise. They have since fixed it at no cost.

I belive that. those driveshafts are sometimes tricky to get apart and reseated because of the cupped style flange on the shaft.
