Spray on or brush on undercoating for wheel wells
 

I have a 2005 Ford Escape with 165K miles and the undercoating of the wheel wells has begun to crack off, exposing the bare metal beneath. Pieces about the size of a playing card can be pried off with a finger. Is there a spray-on or brush on coating this can be repaired with? Would rubberized flashing cement work?

Various auto supply stores carry both types. You can get either brush on or spray on ,and they usually recommend that any loose material be removed and also recommend the surface be reasonably clean. Have used both types . For the result obtained, I found the spray type easier to work with and seemed to provide the same protection.
