Default Windshield

Hi all

My friends 2006 Escape V6 is or has a front windshield problem
A few weeks back I noticed after just washing the Escape that the
area in front of the driver seemed to be "pitted" like from blown sand
onto it, but the surface of the glass is was smooth. Now yesterday
after a 700+ mile drive on the leg home and late in the afternoon
that same situation occurred. On the drive out in the morning
and into the Sun I did not notice this, but on the way back and into
the Sun, I could hardly see, it was like the glass was shattering. I
stopped to clean the windshield and although I got the road dirt off
the glass still seemed like it was shattered. Has anyone else had this
problem? I also did notice that when look out through the window
the area in front of the driver seems to have an outline in this area.
And this is not occurring on the passenger side...
Best
PS: what engineer ever devised that so called "Roof Rack" idiot
and the tail gate lock stud coming up from the deck...
Over all the Escape drove great.

Your insurance may replace that windshield for little or no money. They sometimes waive the deductible for that type of thing.
