Default brakes

i recently bought a 1.8 td ford escort and the brake pedal is very hard you nearly have to stand on it to get stopped i have changed the master cylinder and the servo and still no different any one any idea of what the problem could be cheers

First check for any vacuum hose's off cracked or broken.[hr]If that is not it take a look at the plastic check valve at the brake booster make shure it has vacuum by taking it off the booster and starting the vechile (vechile may not run)and see if it has suction if it does brake booster may be leaking if it is it need's to be replaced.
