Heater core breaks repeatedly
Hello, over the past 15 months the heater core of my Ford Escort (1.8TD 1998) had to be replaced 3 times. Last time was 14 days ago. And now it leaks again, for the 4th time. When I disconnect the heater core (by directly connecting input and output hose), the cooling circuit appears to work just fine (logical temperature indications and no coolant loss during a 2000 km journey). “My” mechanic, an experienced Ford mechanic, is astonished and has no solution. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
