Hi I was wondering if anyone knew if there might be a reset button for the cd player in the 2001 excursion. We just bought the truck used in may of 07 and the radio worked fine until about a month ago now i have 6 cds still in the radio because i get a cd error.[/align][/align]

 

Sounds like the same thing mine did.If the cd player makes noise like its trying to change disks and then goes to the error code thats what mine did. Its not an expensive fix if your handy. There are really small plastic gears thatmoveit from disk to disk. There is a small one that falls off. You have to find it. It will beloose inside the radio.If I remeber correctly it goes on a vertical rod in one of the corners.You have to remove the radio. Don't tilt it when removing it. You will have to disassemble the radio alittle. There are a few screws that hold the top on it. You may have to loosen some of the parts inside to find the gear that fell off. Think of it this way. Its broken already. You can get your CDs out and possibly fix it also.
