Need a new motor for my 2005 V10 6.8 L Excursion
 

I am shopping for a rebuilt engine for my 2005 Ford Excursion XLT 6.8 L V10 EGR - as I look at possible engines can a earlier year model 2004 , 2003 2002 be comparable with my 2005 Ford Excursion . Any suggestions of thoughts on buying an engine would be helpful MY Excursion has 92,000 on it and is very clean .

I'd look in to some of the dismantlers online,. or local yards..
Generally a decent warranty included ( depending on the supplier) will help with a potential replacement decision, and options for low mileage donor can be sourced.. A long block, another option, but sometimes you can source out a very capable used replacement.. If a pan to manifold replacement, can save on labor costs as well... Plus, core resale comes into play.if an option.
