Power mirror wiring for 2004

Hello,
My 04 Excursion got sideswipped which luckily only took out the driver mirror (power, heated, turn signal). I took this opportunity to upgrade both mirrors to telescoping ones for use while towing. Just unboxed them and the supposedly compatible wiring harness has one plug with 7 wires while the remains of my original mirror shows 4 small connectors with 2 wires each.

The replacements will fit perfect, but say they are for a F-250, F-350 and mention they work on the Excursion as well....obviously with some minor wiring changes.

Anyone have a wiring diagram for either a F250 or my 04 Excursion or any other ideas....

thanks

According to the connector illustration/diagram I'm looking at,, they both should have a 10 hole connector/plug, 7 function wires (3 not used) for both the Excursion and F series.. You removed the mirror interior trim cover and the mirror plug/connector there is a group of 4?,, or out on the damaged mirror head? Are the mirror wire colors on your truck..

I only have the left one off right now as that is the one that was destroyed. The color wires you mentioned are there, however only about 6 inches of them sticking out the side of the door frame. I noticed on the replacement mirrors, the length of wire prior to the connector is about 18 inches long. Is the connector down inside the door? I havent checked that and will give that a shot today.Perhaps the 4 sets of twowere just theend of the wiring inside the mirror (power adjust, heat, turn signal) and theother end if inside the door.

I got it...the inside door panel had to come off to get to that connector. Both are installed and working great!!!!
