truck still pulling to the left when braking. And what is this hose/tube?
Why is my truck still pulling to the left when braking. And what is this hose/tube?
So all of a sudden my 2000 Excursion was doing all the following…
But the truck is still pulling to the left when braking. It's less than before, but still pretty noticeable. Should I… Change the rear calipers? They both have new pads Change the front brake lines? Both look fine. If I change them do I change them all the way to the master cylinder? Also, when changing the calipers I noticed the line/hose in the pics below are very rotten. What are they for? 4x4 engagement? I looked and couldn’t find any part number for those. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...n/pic27506.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d3...n/pic18636.jpg |
Welcome to the site..
Correct, the hose is for ESOF (electronic shift on the fly) 4x4 hub application.. When you pushed the caliper pistons back during the pad change, all moved freely? no excessive pressure needed to get them back in? ..Even.. Hubs are both vacuum unlocked? |
Thanks for the info on the ESOF hose. Would you know the hose specifications/size? All the ones I found online are braided and $40-$60. I just want the cheap ones.
When I changed the rear brake pads I used a C-clamp to push the calipers back in as I usually do. So I don't know if I would have been able to push them back in by hand. |
Well the truck is still pulling to the left when braking. I'm running out of ideas.
Here's what I've done so far. Front: New Steering Stabilizer New Calipers New brake pads new brake lines Rear: New calipers New Pads Alignment is good Any other ideas?? Ball joints maybe? |
