1999 Ford Expedition

I have a 1999 Ford Expedition 4x4 and the battery died jumped and it started fine. The next time I drove it , the speed odometer would say 100 when I was going 20 miles a hour. Then it wasnt shifting right and when I turned left it was stiff. Hard to turn. Turning right was better. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

On some vehicles the computer forgets what it is supposed to do and when after the battery dies. The reason the battery died needs to be determined and corrected to prevent a repeat occurrence. Newer vehicles need to be informed that the battery has been replaced or the charging system will not work correctly.
After the problem has been corrected, and the computer allowed to discharge, just start the vehicle and let it idle for 5-10 minutes and some resetting will take place. After that the computer should relearn your driving habits and adjust accordingly.

If the problem still persists a scan tool may be required to reset some functions.
