2000 exp wont start.

my expedition wont start.thaught for sure it was the starter so i had it check and it failed so i replced the starter.still wont start.ive got juice threw the positve cable but theres nothing going to the solenoid.im thinking ignition switch .when i try to start all the guages work except when i turn the key to start the radio will stop working.i can get the radio to work by pulling the fuse under the hood for the ignition/accessorys.it doesnt blow the fuse but if i pull it out and put back in the radio works again until i try to start.does any one know the color for the energize wire from the ignition?ive tried starting in nuetral and nothing aslo tried playing with the shifter to see if that would work and nothing.
i can get it started if i jump the solenoid at the starter.
please help....

Newer SUV's have a switch on the clutch pedal that won't allow you to start the engine unless you'reholding the clutch pedal down - if you have manual (stick) shift. If automatic go right to the fuses and lead (signal) wire to the solenoid. The wire that switches the solenoid is a regular smaller guage wire. Have someone hold the key forward to start while you take a one wire test light and check the smaller wire(s). If the smaller wire(s) has no power you must first look for a problem fuse, fusible link burnt, or overloaded switch. If not these a wire could be bad (but thatusually never happens until 20 or 30 years later).
