So it's not the battery, but here is what happens. I turn the key to start the Expedition and nothing happens (all electrical works)....No clicks and no attempts to turn over. About a second or two after turning the key back there is a *gasp* from somewhere under the hood (I think its behind the steering column.) I have the car in park, but the steering wheel doesn't lock (I think its supposed to)....

Anyone have ideas of how to get this beast started?

 

Did you check the Starter Relay (Solenoid)?
