2001 Expedition with SES light
My Service engine Soon light is on and the code is PO135. They tell me the code is for an O2 sensor, Bank 1, Sensor 1 and is located on the passenger side on the exhaust manifold. How difficult are these O2 sensors to replace? They look to me like a standard spark plug with a long plug in on the other end. Anybody know what a mechanic would charge to do this job? Thanks guys.

Easy. BTW, the sensor is above the forward catalyst assy not the exhaust manifold.

If it is like my 98, it's a royal pain. O2 sensors run from $40 to $150 and your looking at 1 to 2 hours labor. Possibly a $300 or more repair.

thanks guys! I bought an O2 sensor and installed it. . .That took care of the SES light.
