2001 Ford Expedition issues

I got the vehicle and it had fuel issues. Immediately realized the fuel pump was not working. I changed the fuel pump and then it still wasnt working. Checked the relay and changed it and it still didnt work. So I used a wire to jump the relay and it started right up. Went to get gas after letting it run 44 mins and it cut off. Hasn't ran since. I'm guessing it's an electrical problem now. Any suggestions on what it could be ?

Under the rear of the vehicle near the fuel tank should be a "fuel pump driver module" bolted to one of the chassis cross members. Pull that down and look for corrosion under the module. Known to crap out due to corrosion at mounting area. You can't miss it if it is causing problems.

Also , PCM requires an RPM signal from crank sensor to keep fuel pump relay energized. Does check engine lite go out when cranking engine to start it?
