2019 Expedition transmission issue

Recently purchased a 2019 expedition platinum. When initially pressing the gas between gears 3-5 it frequently seems to completely lose power for a few seconds and stops accelerating. Since this occurs when initially pulling into a street or highway, it is very noticeable as I have to step on the gas rapidly to avoid an accident. Took to dealer and told normal on the new 10 speed transmission. Always owned f150 previous to this vehicle and never had issues with acceleration.

The new 10 speed transmissions require a little getting used to. If you have problems adapting to it , let your dealership know and maybe they might be able to reprogram something to maybe overcome your concern.

Not sure if related to your issue, but my 2018 Limited started behaving significantly differently while shifting after maybe 6 months or so of ownership (purchased new about a year ago). Sometimes, it feels like just a slight stall or lurch. Other times it can feel really rough (to the point of jerking your head back and forward) and be accompanie by a very rough/harsh sound. Usually it's the most noticeable when shifting while shifting during changes in accelleration going up/down hills. Also worse when engine cold.

One thing I noticed recently, it happens only when gears are skipped.

Had it in to dealer recently, nothing specific was determined. They did some sort of a reprogram they hoped my help, but it didn't. At the same time, the tech who test drove it said he couldn't reproduce, so I'll have to take it back in and get a tech to go for a drive with me. Thing is, I don't think it will be as noticeable to people who haven't driven the car regularly since brand new, 'cause for us it was the change from being such a smooth transmission when new to its current, more harsh state.

Side note: I've read what sound like similar complaints from the F-150 crowd and I guess the problem has gained more traction there - I even read someone say there was a relate class action lawsuit started. Perhaps it's a different (or more severe) problem than mine, though. If you Google a bit, you can find various people talking about problems that sounds possibly related.

I have a similar problem with my Expedition XLT 2020, bought brand new after 9 months gear started to give away while away driving and was replaced under warranty. Now the gear started to make sounds (rubbing sounds) on lower transmission 2,3,4 only when I started the car in the morning!
I don't know what's going on
