Just out of curiosity, What are you doing that gets you in such a high RPM range?

going down highway going like 60 to 70 mph passing someone or climbing a hill itll rev ip to 3500 to 4000 and it shudders and its like you applied the brakes and actually revs and starts to slow down it has done it once for my wife drove it fine a few times and now has done it again

Sounds Like a possible torque converter problem.
