anti theft system
 

I have a 97 Expedition and has been running fine. I got in it this morning and the theft light is blinking and will not start. I turns over and acts just like it's out of gas. It does have gas in it. Is there any way to reset the theft system?

Turn the key on, the light will start blinking, leave the key in the on position for about 45 seconds, the light will stop. Try starting it then, if the light starts blinking again, then there is no communication between the key (PATS system) and the anti-theft system. [sm=mail.gif]

similar problem here..
i live in Turkey,there is not much this car here and nobody understands what is problem..
case is:

problem is anti theft system..it comes randomly and locks doors or throw a cel says there is not enough oxygen or something like this.if cel comes on and if itfires car starts black smoking and fuel economy sucks .,after severaltries sometimesit starts but sometimes it won't start for a day..it is 97 4,6L EB,bolt on s :JBA Headers;BORLA Exhaust;STILLEN Chip...[/align]thanks[/align]
