Brake Squeal
I have been doing my own brakes for over 20 years now and I have a problem that I can't remedy.
My Expedition is a 2000 XLT 5.4L
The right rear brake started squealing so I figured it was time to change the pads but when I removed them (especially on the right rear) there was still a good amount of pad left. I decided to change them anyway. Still the squeal was in the right rear. I tried different pads (hard, soft, med) installed new rotors and the squeal was still there (always in the right rear). I took it to the local dealership and they changed the pads, called it ready but the squeal was still there (right rear). I took it back and they changed the caliper and suposibly the brake line (rubber section only) to the right rear, called it ready but after a couple of months the squeal came back. Since then the warranty has expired and Ford refuses to help me now.
I'm out of ideas.
Your input will be greatly appreciated.
