I have a 2000 Expy 5.4. It has recently started to start rough, not start unless you "feather the gas peddle" and will stall. As normal maint...I swapped out the fuel filter. I am hearing a dirty throttle plate
will cause this? Any thoughts... I can run the truck normal so to speak as long as I keep my foot on the gas.. And it tends to lessen when warmer...

Yes, check the inside of the thorttle body, and clean it out with some T.B safe cleaner. If that doesn't fix it, try cleaning or replacing the Idel Air Control Valve. It probably wouldn't hurt to run a fuel systems cleaner through your next tank off gas.
