Power Windows and Radio not working, Help!!!
 

So my husband decided he was going to install a system in my car and now the radio and windows dont work! I have no clue how to fix this and neither does he. He said he hooked everything back up the way it was before trying to install the system and checked the fuses but still cant figure out whats wrong with it. Any ideas how to fix this???

What kind of system was he trying to install and what did he disassemble to do this ?
Also , if you have the owner's manual, check and see which fuses/circuit breakers supply the radio and power windows. There may be more than one fuse involved and could it be possible a wire was left disconnected somewhere?

He was trying to install an amp and sub to my factory radio. He cut the wires that he "thought" were matching and figured they were speaker wires. A black and pink a brown and pink, green and orange, a solid black,and another green and orange one. He said he believes that was it.

Until it can be determined just what happened, it would be best to remove the system and reconnect every wire to its original color and see if the systems can be restored. If that has been done , then either there could be a poor connection putting everything back together or possibly in the process of connecting the system power was connected to the wrong place and a fuse is open. What year and kind of vehicle do you have, some later models have systems that are a little more complicated than in the past.

I had a friend look over it, my husband missed a fuse that was blown : / I have a 2002.

Sometimes the simple things in life give us heartburn ! Glad it's OK.

Do you know which fuse it was? I am intermittently having a problem with my radio and windows not working when I first turn on my 2003 expedition after 30 seconds or so they work. All the fuses look okay and no single fuse controls both. I haven't been able to figure out which ones are dominant to serve both the radio and the window fuses. Thanks.
