Temperature Control Panel

I have a 2000 Expedition Eddie Bauer and the front temperature control panel (and even the radio bottom) becomes hot to the touch after the truck has been running for a while. Normal or issue? Thanks (first post).

Normal, with the electronics involved and the illumination heat is always generated.
