2002 Explorer Mystery - Power Windows, Radio, Door Locks Intermittent
 

Here's a mystery for you...sometime last year my 4x4 dash lights started flashing. Had it checked and all is good. Didn't do much to research as it appeared there wasn't any danger. Last week my battery light on the dash started flashing. Had that and the alternator tested and they are both good. Now...for the fun part...after a cold start all is well but after about 5 minutes of driving the radio stops, odometer goes dim and I can't use the power windows or door locks while driving. However, if I stop the car, turn off and turn the ignition to the ON position everything is fine. Taken to several places and been told could be an ignition problem or a "body control module." Fuses are all good...wiring...not checked yet but before I start chasing gremlins would like to get some good things I can do to check first. WOULD APPRECIATE ANYONE'S SUGGESTIONS. ~Chris
