2002 Ford Explorer Is Slipping In Reverse Only, What Could Be The Problem?

All other gears shift fine but kinda feels like reverse is slipping and also makes a grinding noise while in reverse.

Unless you drive a manual, it sounds as if your transmission is giving you subtle hits that it is going to die soon.
